Annie O's Bits 'n Bobs

Postby AnnieO » Mon May 29, 2017 11:43 am

This is a very simple design I found to try out some silver blending filament I was given. Can't see it very well on the flowers.....it's better in person. This would be wonderful if you were stitching snowy Christmas scenes. The banding came with the white edging.I added a crude button hole stitch on the ends to prevent fraying.

Very nice Annie,

Love the bookmark Annie (*)
I too have used the blending filament on different projects over the year's, it's not one of my favorite threads to use NO:) (thank goodness for Thread Heaven) but worth it once you see the finished results. (*)

This is the pouch open showing the attached doctor flannel for needles on the inside .I lined it with silk /
So pleased it's all done now. This took almost 6 weeks to finish and much frogging of stitches.

June's been a bit busy with tiny projects
These are barrel pin cushions from the Australian Inspirations Magazine 2016

And

These are tiny thread catchers made from one larger triangle then finished with different stitches.
Palestrina knot seams in bright yellow on the pansy fabric with bullion flowers and spiderweb roses.
Beaded glove stitch on green side seams with similar beaded flowers on the tabs.
One of each of these is for the trading table at our exhibition in Oct.
Thanks for peeking.
