Thank you, Bea . You are lucky you are not my neighbour next door. Because despite all my mum taught me about good manners, I would come and ask you to help me with all that backstitch. Am I getting old or what? I used to backstitch Sandy Littlejohns' "Victorian Christmas" (twice, mind you, as I stitched the picture twice!)where there is 100 times more backstitch than in this picture. So why am I sick of it? It never ever took me so long to do so little backstitch. I do hope to complete it tomorrow though.

Lyudmila, my Autumn Blessing is also driving me to distraction. There is Indian corn..and after using 1/2 dozen colours for them I then need to backstitch each kernel . I'm using an old magazine and the backstitching is on top of the colours and also the backstitching lines are either red or blue , 3 of each and that's where the guessing game begins..The backstitch lines cover way too many of the squares so I struggle to figure out what colour to use.The picture helps somewhat. I have one corner to finish and will be done..and you guessed it it's the troublesome one.. ;;}(

I have just finished my (Merejka's) Christmas Night, backstitch, French knots and all. I am so proud of myself!

The picture- when I have got someone to take a photo and load it into my computer.

Finished-backstitch and French knots and all.Image
OOP:} I apologize for the photo.A better one will be posted when someone here agrees to take it again. I told you it is easier to stitch than to take a photo here.
