Recipe Units

Postby Birthe » Fri Mar 17, 2017 7:58 am

This thread is to list the units and methods for each country/region.

We may not realize that things may be different in other countries.
Just because a recipe is in English, does not mean that same methods are used.

If your Country is not listed - you may add it!

Denmark
1 kg = 1 kilo (1000 grams)
1 g = 1 gram

1 l = 1 litre (1000 millilitres)
1 dl = 1 decilitre (100 ml)
1 cl = 1 centilitre (10 ml]
1 ml = 1 millilitre
1 cup = 1½ decilitres (150 ml)

1 tbsp= 1 tablespoon (15 ml)
1 tbsp = 3 teaspoons
1 tsp = 1 teaspoon (5 ml)

Temperature is measured in Celcius.
Ex: 150°C = 300°F

Note:All measurements are weighed
Do not measure by using a cup.

1 tsp = 1 teaspoon (5 ml)

Most stoves still measure temperature in Fahrenheit
Ex: 300°F = 150°C

Note: Most people use cup measurements.
