My walls are completely full in most rooms of my house. I have them set up by themes...Pirate designs on one wall, hummingbirds on one, roses, Oriental, cats, nautical, samplers, short sayings, Halloween, etc. I'm out of space! I have well over 100 pieces on the walls with over 120 not just framed. As soon as I finish a piece I clean it if necessary, press it, then hang it on one of the skirt clip hangars (those multi level ones with 5-6 sets of clips) and let it hang on the back of my bathroom door - facing my bed. I made a large shadowbox for all the small items like biscornu and needlerolls that is mounted above the head of my bed.

A wise person does not keep a sledgehammer and a slow computer in the same room.

Most of my stitching ends up with someone else. I stitch small pieces for ornaments, fobs, or cards that are intended for exchanges or gifts. Any pieces I've done for myself remain rolled up and stashed away.

This is a very interesting to read through.

I usually stitch small pieces for greeting cards for close family and friends . I have done somewhat larger projects but do them as individual pieces (EMS monthly flower series) and hang them in a collage. I stitched Lesley Teare's monthly fairies for my DGD made individually for her to use above a wall calendar, changing them out every month. I don't usually make a CCS project that I would expect someone else to display in their home unless it's a special request. DD is not a fan of CCS, but she did want a specific baby birth record.
