November 11th. in Canada is Remembrance Day.
There are ceremonies in most larger cities across Canada and we pay tribute to those who fought & died for our Freedom. "Lest We Forget." Many of our Veterans from the 1st & 2nd wars are slowly passing away and there are so few left , that we need to never forget the sacrifices they endured to keep us safe.

Yes ! Near 100 years ago... As they hope : The last of the last "La Der de Der" in french (Der as Dernière) but it was not the last bloody war.
The french flower of this commemoration is the "bleuet" (the same color blue of the french uniform). Cornflower is a blue wildflower as the red one with poppy for the English ; the first flowers appeared on the battlefields where men fell.
