Did this ever happen to you?

Postby Lyudmila » Wed Oct 18, 2017 5:02 pm

ImageYou would not believe, but in the flat I managed to lose 4 stitchings of 4 pets each- you know those designs- 4 pets in Christmas socks: kittens, puppies, Guini pigs, hampsters, birds and rabbits. The first four pictures were stitched, washed and ironed last year before Christmas. For love or money I cant find them. I have turned upside down all my fabrics, stitched pictures, stitched table runners, napkins, cards- they have disappeared. My dad worked in criminal police, so he taught me how to look for something (I have always been like that- it is not the matter of aging)- systematically, without a hurry, clockwise, from the top to the bottom. The result is zero. To all this, I cant find the photo of them all in my computer.

It would be funny if it were not sad. They are so work and time consuming, and they turned out just great. Tonight I have finished the last but one bird. Then will make the last card-picture- rabbits.

The question is: did this happen to you too or am I a unique species and should be protected?
P.S. Found this photo, but not the stitchings.

You are not alone ...and this has nothing to do with age.. Just a week or so ago I did the same as you and systematically went on a hunt for a doll costume I had made. I did eventually find it , the next day but what I did accomplish while I looked for it was I re-organized all of the places where I had looked so it's a lot neater in my Craft room.. WH_:{ Gi{{

I'm not sure what I did with my box of completed stitchings. I know I swapped it out of an old box because hubby wanted the box! It was the right size for something.

Bea, I hesitate to "re-organize" things. I do it often but I always hesitate. It always happens! As soon as I do that, I can't find ANYTHING! OOP:}

Diane, I thought that.... just didn't mention it..because I'm hoping I don't have the issue that you mentioned. I've also thought...maybe I should make a list of what I have in my containers...then decided I'd maybe do that next time.. Gi{{

Maybe with my cat's jingle balls! She's got several of them and we can't find them! She plays with them and then they disappear. She can pick them up but has never jumped up anywhere with them. She won't play with the new red ones much but LOVES the pink and yellow ones that are about 20 years old (the ones we haven't stepped on and broken).

I used to find my cats fuzzy toys either under the stove or fridge. Have you looked there?
