I came accross these works and cant believe a human being can make them. One really has to be an artist to make them look so real. How do you like the rabbit, the birds, the squirrell?

I've done stumpwork but nothing like that. She does fantastic work.

Ribbon embroidery is really quite easy and goes quickly as well. You can do dramatic pieces in just a couple of hours.

I tried once, realised it still needed skills of an artist which I dont have, so returned to my cross stitch. At some point ribbon embroidery was so popular here (in Ukraine) that on forums one could see so many ugly works asking for being binned. But among the creaters there are always some really talented people who turn ribbons into fantastically beautiful masterpieces.

Oh these samples are fantastic.
Many moons ago Gi{{ I did do stumpwork..Pansies,berries and a lovely dragonfly..but it took me forever to get done.
I think I like the instant growing of cross stitch or canvas work these days instead of having bits and pieces laying around awaiting to be assembles.

I still admire it but know I have been there done that
