This forum is a magic place. It has that special atmosphere which makes one want to come here, share one's thoughts, boast of one's stitching or just share a piece of good news.

I used to work in the oldest (opened in 1898) school in the town(for 26 years, from Day 2 [the first year was in a different school] to the last day of my career), which had stoves in classrooms, in which coal was burnt, classrooms were darkish, not spacious, corridors were narrow, there was no gym, all the lessons of physical culture were outside for most of the time. BUT the 53 teachers and 500 pupils were like one large and loving family. This cant be explained, it could be felt. There was that special atmosphere that made the school a happy place and now- my happy memories.

There are crowded forums where people chat non-stop actually 7/24, yet one does not feel like joining them. Here I sometimes sit quietly on my own or with a bot or two, but never feel lonely. Because I know that the team are always on alert and ready to come and rescue- be it from a technical difficulty or from sad thoughts. And there are members of the Forum whom I know from the old place who also never ignore my posts. Can't thank enough Bea (*) and her team (*) (*) (*) (*) (*) for this place. I always say there is much more to this forum than just a website for cross stitchers to come and talk or collect new freebies.

Thank You so much Lyudmila for your very kind & generous complement. I appreciate it. I sometimes feel that many who come here don't participate and let us know who they are and I guess that's ok but we all miss meeting and making new friends. I have been so fortunate to have the Special ladies working here who give their time and efforts to keep us all busy with whatever is going on. My Thanks to louison ,Birthe and stitchcrazy and HarDra.... We could not have done this without you. Thanks also to everyone who activally participate and who keep this board interesting.

Yessssssssssssssssssssss I sure agree with Lyudmila.
This is definitely a friendly helpful family where there is always assistance when we need it.
Sorry I have been away for a little while and I have really felt the lack of stitching friends on a daily basis.

Thank you Bea for creating this wonderful happy relaxing family.

I'm sure many of you have noticed that I am not on the board very often. This is because I live in an area without WiFi so I am normally limited to my smartphone where I share 5GB of monthly data with my 25 yr old grandson. Every week or so I take my laptop to the library but their hours are very limited.
I like a cozy atmosphere as well, I have been on some forums that seem to take on a very nasty tone quickly. We all share a love of needlework.
